F.A.Q’s

BABY PHOTOGRAPHY:

Will I own the copyright of the photographs?
Yes. I feel it is only your right as the parent to own full copyright of the photos of your little precious children. Also, as a mom it wouldn’t feel right to not hand over all the high resolution photos for you to share with everyone in the family.

What happens if my baby is having a grumpy off day?
This is a question I get often and so far this hasn’t been a problem yet. For some reason babies and children seem fascinated with my big black camera and always surprise their mommies with how much they enjoy the session.

Do I need to prepare anything for the shoot?
I love to tell the story of who your little one is and by doing this I will take photographs of all his/her favourite toys, room detail and any other sentimental items. (ie your 12 week scan) I do bring my own props/blankets but also like to include your own blankets as these form part of the story that is unique to you and your little one.

How long will I have to wait for my photographs after the shoot:
4-6 weeks excluding any additional items ordered such as calendars or books.

Where will you take the photographs?
Depends on which room has the best light and space to set up the shoot. A double bed (usually parents bed) works very well for height and is nice and comfortable for little ones. If the weather is great heading out in the garden is also a great option!

When is the best time of day for photographs?
This depends on your little one’s routine and available daylight. Best time for very young babies is after a feed and a sleep so that they are happy and not hungry.

How many outfits do I need to have ready?
This is entirely up to you. Some of my clients have 3-4 outfits lined up and others request naked shots only. 1-2 outfits plus naked shots are usually sufficient.

What if my baby has scratched his nose or has a rash on the day of the shoot?
Little blemishes and scratches can be taken out in the retouching process but if the rash is very serious we would need to reschedule.

Do you print coffee table books or calendars?
Yes. I have a wide variety of coffee table books; little brag books and calendars available please contact me for further information.
